for HOME-LESS!

This website is to support a fundraiser to start

Green-HOUSES for HOMELESS!

Green-HOUSES for HOMELESS will be a non-profit organization that will be started in Colorado, offering jobs and food (as part of weekly pay) to the homeless.

Greenhouses will be set up for growing organic food that can be sold at local supermarkets and farmer's markets, when in season.  Each employee will receive an hourly wage for their work in the greenhouses and a weekly share of food.

With your help, we can make a truly positive impact on our communities and our human family.

All donations are welcome! :-) *

*If you can't donate, please share this website with someone who may be interested!

THANK YOU!!!

The first place to launch a Green-HOUSES for HOMELESS center will be in Colorado Springs, CO.  This area has a large homeless population (mostly due to the high number of veterans),  and is close enough to Denver, CO (the other major city with a large homeless population) to offer the service to those in need that are living there as well.  This non-profit is simply and effectively organized so that it can be replicated across the country, or even around the world.

For a homeless person to get a job, they first need to have the right documentation to get a state I.D. - or the money to acquire it - either of which could prove to be nearly impossible without any assistance. Even with the proper documents, it costs money just to get a state I.D., which is required in order to be employed in the U.S.  Green-HOUSES for HOMELESS is going to help.

First, the center will pay the small price for prospective employees to acquire the proper documents and identification to legally work in the U.S.  Then, the homeless and unemployed will be offered employment to work for an hourly wage (working in the greenhouses and selling the food), as well as a weekly share of food, grown on their own!  The rest of the food grown in the greenhouses will be sold to local supermarkets and farmer's markets (during the summer).
